About The Speaker

Issack Biyong

Dr Biyong is specialized in adult general FMH (1998) and in Child and adolescent Psychiatry FMH (2002), University of Lausanne, Switzerland. His was Certified Trauma Specialist (CTS) in 1998 with the ATSS (Texas - USA) and Specialized in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in 2002 with the Swiss association of cognitive therapy (ASPCo) and the University of Geneva, Switzerland. He finalized his training with a Diploma in Hypnosis and NLP in Geneva with European society of neuro-linguistic programming (NLP). He was specialized in sleep medicine from the University Louis pastor, Strasbourg (France) and University of Lausanne, Laboratory of Clinical Neurophysiology (CHUV), 1998-2000. Since 2008 he is Assistant Professor of psychiatry at Faculty of medicine the University of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and Editor in Chief of the Journal of Psychotraumatology and Mediation (JPM), Switzerland and co-chair of the International conference of psychotraumatology and Mediation (ICPM). Dr Biyong was the director for MD students for 3 years at Montfort, Faculty of medicine University of Ottawa and member of Montfort research institute (MRI), Ottawa. To this effect, he did supervise a number of medical and research students and residents. Dr Biyong managed from 2011 to 2014 a new and innovative service called Clinic of Trauma and Transcultural Psychiatry (CTTP) within the Mental Health Program at the Montfort Hospital, Ottawa, Canada. His usual favorite field of research is: sleep medicine, anxiety, mood trauma related disorders and transcultural psychiatry. His new research focus areas is on the Non-intrusive treatment in psychiatry disorders with technology devices such as Transcranian magnetic resonance (TMS), Cognitive disorder treatment software for cognitive integration in children and adolescents with, PTSD, ADHD, OCD, Bipolar disorders, Eating disorders, Somatoforms disorders, Schizophrenia disorders, etc. His Director of the Center of Psychotraumatology and Mediation (CPM), and Executive President of the Institute of Psychotraumatology and Mediation (IPM), Switzerland.
